My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
나의 하나님이 그리스도 예수 안에서 영광 가운데 그 풍성한 대로 너희 모든 쓸 것을 채우시리라 (빌 4:19)
"Two are better than one"(Ecclesiastes 4:9). These words invite followers of Jesus to exercise the same type of encouragement Paul writes about in today's Scripture reading.
"두 사람이 한 사람보다 낫습니다"(전 4:9). 이 말씀은 예수님의 제자들에게 오늘의 묵상 본문 가운데서 바울이 쓰고 있는 것과 동일한 종류의 격려를 서로 하도록 초대하고 있습니다.
We know that a thank -you note, a commendation from a manager, or the thumbs-up signal from a parent may be a source of much needed encouragement. We need encouragement in the face of the world's negative influences, our sinful nature, and the devil.
잘 알고 있듯이 감사를 표시하는 작은 카드 한 장, 매니저로부터 오는 칭찬, 혹은 부모가 자녀에게 엄지 손가락을 치켜 세워주는 제스처가 아주 절실한 격려의 원천이 될 수 있습니다. 세상의 부정적인 영향과 우리의 죄악된 본성, 그리고 마귀 앞에서 우리는 격려를 받을 필요가 있습니다.
Believers are to encouragement one another to be strong in faith against the works of Satan. Believers are also called to encourage one another to be calm in the midst of trials and to find hope in the midst of death.
믿는 자들은 사탄의 역사에 대항해서 믿음 가운데서 강해지도록 서로 격려해야 합니다. 믿는 자들은 또한 시련의 와중에서 안정을 누리고 죽음 가운데도 소망을 찾도록 서로 격려하라는 요청을 받고 있습니다.
In addition, believers are to encourage one another to listen to the Word in order to live self-controlled lives in the midst of their struggle with the sinful nature and Satan's deceptions.
이에 덧붙여서, 믿는 자들은 죄악된 본성 및 사탄의 속임수와 싸우면서 절제된 생활을 하기 위해서 말씀에 경청하도록 서로 격려해야 합니다.
The ultimate goal of mutual encouragement is to prepare believers for the day they meet Jesus face to face. While Jesus himself is the greatest source of encouragement, he still chooses to nature his children through the lives of people who together share hope in him. Take time to encourage or be encouraged as we together look forward to that great and joyful day!
상호 격려의 궁극적인 목표는 믿는 자들이 예수님과 얼굴을 맞대어 만날 그 날을 위해 준비시키는 것입니다. 예수님 자신이 물론 격려의 가장 큰 원천이지만, 예수님은 주님에 대한 소망을 함께 공유하고 있는 사람들의 삶을 통해서 자기 자녀들을 양육하십니다. 우리 함께 그 크고 즐거운 날을 대망하면서, 시간을 내서 서로 격려하시고 격려 받읍시다.

Lord, thank you for the gift of relationships. Help us to both give and receive encouragement so that Christ will shine in and through us into the world. In Jesus' name, Amen.
주님, 맺어진 여러 인간 관계의 선물에 대해 감사드립니다. 서로 격려를 주고 받음으로써 우리 가운데서와 우리를 통해서 그리스도께서 세상에 비치도록 도와주시옵소서. 예수님 이름으로 기도 드립니다. 아멘.
